San Francisco, California – June 17th, 2024Mission Bit is thrilled to announce that this summer, they will be welcoming their largest cohort ever, with 179 students set to participate in their summer bootcamp. This milestone reflects Mission Bit’s ongoing commitment to inspiring youth of color to explore the world of STEM through project-based computer science education that embraces their identities.

Overview of the summer bootcamp

This summer, Mission Bit’s bootcamp will offer an intensive and immersive learning experience for students eager to delve into computer science. The bootcamp is designed to provide students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the tech industry, offering courses that range from introductory programming to advanced coding projects.

Key features of the summer bootcamp

  • Diverse course offerings: Students will have the opportunity to learn various programming languages and technologies, including Python, Web Development, and Virtual Reality.
  • Project-based learning: The hands-on approach ensures that students not only learn theoretical concepts but also apply them to real-world projects, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Supportive environment: Focusing on inclusivity and community, the bootcamp will provide students with the mentorship and support they need to thrive. This summer, 26 experienced instructors have been hired to guide students throughout their learning journey.
