Classroom Volunteer: Support Mission Bit Instructors and engage with students in the classroom at our participating sites in the Bay Area or virtually
One-Time Events Volunteer: Support the Mission Bit staff with events/activities throughout the year; events are typically outside of the classroom and occur at various locations throughout San Francisco and Oakland (e.g. Demo Day, Mission Bit Gala)
Project volunteer: Support Mission Bit staff, instructors or students on one-off projects throughout the year (i.e. writing workshops, leading a group of students, creating curriculum, etc)

CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS: Federal law requires that all volunteers provide proof of a negative TB test and complete a Live Scan Fingerprint test for an FBI criminal background check. Please note that any costs incurred from obtaining tests cannot be covered by Mission Bit. An emailed copy of your negative TB test, as well as, successfully passing the Live Scan Fingerprint test, must be completed BEFORE you volunteer in the classroom, but do not need to be completed prior to your scheduled Volunteer Orientation.
